Literary Arts Magazine

STRATUS is James Madison University’s 2023 Literary Arts Magazine. I wanted to give my zine more of a sci-fi/inhuman theme, sticking to works of art that embrace the unknown and challenge the idea of what’s real and what’s not.

My main focus for this project was the typography, which is why I decided to keep the majority of the book grayscale. I was learning how to lay out text in a way that differed from a normal magazine or book by playing with margin width, typeface orientation, and visual heiarchy.
